| N.F.T. systems are used in the huge hydroponics greenhouses. You may have seen pictures of them in Holland, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and many other countries where hydroponics is used extensively. N.F.T. systems are becoming more popular on a smaller scale. They work on a constantly recirculating layer of nutrient delivered by a submersible pump through troughs or gullies where the roots of the plants absorb their food. Because of the constant movement of the water, oxygen levels are quite high and pH remains relatively stable since very little growing medium is used. |
